LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong presents the first-ever Christmas LEGO® Party: BRICKTACULAR CHRISTMAS

 [November 29, 2021, HONG KONG] LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong, an indoor attraction with 30,000 square feet and built from over 10 million LEGO® bricks, is now all set and ready to welcome the first Christmas season since its launch. Spanning from 1st December 2021 to 2nd January 2022, Santa Claus flying across from his homeland in Finland to Hong Kong will present at the attraction, throwing a spectacular home party for all LEGO® fans! There will be a 2-metre tall illuminated Christmas tree made of 45,000 LEGO® bricks displayed at the venue for LEGO® fans to snap some gorgeous pictures, as well as a series of festive events hosted throughout the period to spread joy and cheer!

Santa turns to a LEGO® fan welcoming the festive season; plus the installation of 2-metre tall illuminated Christmas tree as a highlight spot for photo snap

As celebration at home has now become a trend, Santa Claus is therefore hosting a home party this year offering everyone a heartwarming and memorable Christmas. Travelling all the way from Finland to Hong Kong, he has moved his house to the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong, where children and adults are all allowed to enter and have a glimpse of the place that this mystery man lives! Stepping into the ‘Santa Claus’ Living Room’, you will actually discover that Santa is LEGO® fan, as many of his furniture and decorations are filled with LEGO® elements. Also, you can even meet the Christmas elf, Gingerbread man as well as LEGO® friends at the party and have a wonderful time altogether.

One of the largest features of the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong is the venue was built from over 10 million LEGO® bricks. For the first Christmas spending with the Hong Kong LEGO® fans, the centre has specially curated a 2-metre tall illuminated Christmas tree, which is made of 45,000 LEGO® bricks by LEGO® Master Model Builder and his team and took up a total of 480 hours to complete. The size of the tree is 2.14 metre tall and 1.2 metre wide, which comprises more than 40 different colours of LEGO® bricks and dazzling LED lights to create an eye-catching and Christmassy ambiance.

As the host of this Home Party, Santa Claus will of course be present at the centre to welcome his guests. He will surprisingly show up at the ‘Santa Claus’ Living Room’ from time to time, and therefore everyone can enjoy ‘A date with Santa’ - which you will have to get yourself prepared for interacting, taking pictures with him and laughing all day long!

Festive activities in different play areas bringing lots of joyous and fun surprises

The different play areas inside LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre in Hong Kong are always wonderlands for every LEGO® fan. This Christmas, these areas will be transformed to a LEGO® paradise, bringing a series of surprising festive activities and guaranteeing your visit here a playful and fun experience!

MINILAND® Christmas Lights

Built from over 1.5 million LEGO® bricks taking 7,150 hours to complete, Hong Kong’s MINILAND® is an attraction area displaying the unique scenic spots and views of Hong Kong. During the Christmas period, the area draws inspiration from the theme of magical Christmas and presents a festive illumination of reindeer sleighs riding in the snow, which allows you to have a dreamy and incredible winter overlook of the city.

MINILAND® Winter Mission

The assistants of Santa - Christmas elf and reindeers have also arrived at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong. These frisky and jolly guests are playing hide and seek in the MINILAND®, waiting for other children to discover them!

Christmas Version of ‘LEGO® Creative Workshop’ Actualizing Imagination to LEGO models

The LEGO® Creative Workshop is where children can express their boundless creativity freely. During this festive season, the workshop is operated under the Christmas theme, where the LEGO® Master Model Builder will be present to guide children to build a Santa Claus and Snowman LEGO® model of their own. The workshop is suitable for children over 5 years old. Each session runs for 15 to 20 minutes.

Christmas Themed Photography Area Recording Joyful Moments in the LEGO Wonderland 

Thinking of taking pictures to record this memorable Christmas time?  A Christmas themed photo frame has been added to the photography areas at the entrance and Kingdom Quest, where you can take pictures in a dreamlike virtual snow scene. LEGO® Santa Claus and LEGO® elf will appear in the frame too.

Exclusive activity for annual pass holders: ‘Santa Claus Fan Meeting’

In order to express gratitude to the loyal LEGO® fans, LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong has arranged a special event featuring the LEGO® Santa Claus. Starting from 1st December until 10th December, the LEGO® Santa Claus will be present at the ‘Santa Claus’ Living Room’ meeting and hosting a priority photo-taking section with LEGO® fans who hold an annual pass. The LEGO® Santa Claus will be dressed in full Santa suit, as well as wearing his signature white beard, which is something you would not want to miss seeing during the festive season.
