The inaugural LEGO® Creative Academy is now open for enrolment! From now until 2 March 2025, we invite little LEGO® enthusiasts to participate in exciting challenges, discover new building techniques, and embrace a fresh wave of creativity!

Recruiting for ‘Mini Master Model Builder 2025'

Test your building skills and become a Mini Master Model Builder! LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong presents the ‘Mini Master Model Builder 2025’ competition, providing participants with an opportunity to compete globally. All local contest participants will receive a certificate and an event badge.

Phase One)

Submission of Entries

  • Event Dates: 16/01/2025 - 02/03/2025
  • Results Announcement: 10/03/2025
  • Participants must create freely with LEGO® bricks on-site, and parents
    should fill out the entry form to submit it at the Creative Workshop.
  • Our staff will take photos of participants with their works for record and
    for prize redemption.
  • Three outstanding participants will be selected.
  • Each participant will receive a certificate and
    event badge.
  • Three outstanding participants will receive
    four free admission tickets.

Phase Two)

Submit Final Entries

  • Event Dates: 11/03/2025 -10/04/2025
  • Results Announcement:
    15/04/2025
  • The three outstanding participants from Phase One will enter Phase Two
    to submit final entries.

  • Participants must create freely with LEGO® bricks on-site and submit their
    works along with a video of up to 2 minutes explaining the unique
    creation to the Creative Workshop.

  • The judges will select the final winner to become the 'Mini Master Model
    Builder Hong Kong 2025.'

  • The winner must participate in Phase Three.
  • The winner will receive the title of 'Mini Master Model Builder Hong Kong 2025.'

  • The winner will also get two Annual Passes (Platinum).

Phase Three)

Compete for the title of 'Global Mini Master Model Builder 2025'

  • Event Dates: 16/04/2025 - 26/05/2025
  • Results Announcement*:  October 2025
  • The 'Mini Master Model Builder Hong Kong 2025' will enter Phase Three,
    creating theme-based works using LEGO® bricks worth up to HK$1,200.

  • Collaborate with Master Model Builder and submit works representing
    the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong by the designated date
    (must meet size requirements).

  • Specific entry requirements will be communicated later.

  • The final entries will be sent to the LEGO® House in Denmark for final
    evaluation, competing for the 'Global Mini Master Model Builder 2025'
    Champion or Runner-up.

'Mini Master Model Builder Hong Kong 2025' will receive the following prizes:

  • A certificate issued by the LEGO® House in Denmark
  • A shopping voucher worth HK$800 for the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong Gift Shop
  • Two round-trip economy class tickets from Hong Kong to Denmark

Phase Four)

Exhibition of Works

  • Event Dates*: October to December 2025
  • All final works will be exhibited at the LEGO® House in Den mark for visitor viewing.

The judging panel for the first and second phases will consist of representatives from the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong and LEGO® Certified Professionals. The third phase will be judged by experts from LEGO® House. Entries will be evaluated based on the three phases of the competition. The selection for the first and second phases will be based on the following criteria:

Criteria Evaluation Standards
Structural Stability The model must be solid and remain intact during display.
Aesthetic Effect The model should be visually appealing, including effective colour coordination.
Innovation The model must demonstrate novel thinking and techniques, challenging traditional building methods.
Theme Expression The model should effectively convey the chosen theme and align with the competition's purpose.

Parents must carefully read the following terms and conditions. By entering the competition before participation, participants signify that they have read, understood, and accepted all terms and conditions.

A. Competition Mechanism

  • Participants must complete the specified steps and submit their entries and related information by the designated date as outlined in the 'Competition Details.'
  • This competition is limited to individual entries; parents may provide guidance, but participants must assemble their own works.
  • All works must only use LEGO® bricks and must be original creations by the participant. Submitted entries will not be returned and will become the property of the organiser. Participants must not replicate or plagiarise others' works and must ensure no copyright infringement occurs. If multiple participants submit identical works, the earliest submission will be considered the original.
  • All submitted works and videos cannot be modified.
  • All completed entry forms and works must be submitted in person to the designated location by the deadline.
  • Once accepted, participants are deemed to agree to all relevant competition terms and conditions.
  • Ensure all provided information is accurate and clear when submitting the entry form. Any errors or inability to identify the information will result in disqualification without further notice.
  • Personal data submitted by participants will be used for the purposes of this competition in accordance with the organiser's privacy policy and the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
  • Score sheets will not be distributed to participants, and the results will be determined by the judging panel, whose decisions are final.
  • By participating, you agree to allow the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong to showcase your name, photos, and videos for promotional purposes.
  • Winners must cooperate with the organiser for promotional activities, including media interviews and attendance at events. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
  • Participants must be children born between 16 January 2014 and 15 January 2020. The organiser reserves the right to verify participants' identities.
  • Any submitted materials, including works and videos, must not contain defamatory, false, illegal, abusive, invasive, sensitive, confidential, or discriminatory content. The organiser reserves the right to remove such materials and pursue legal action without notice.
  • Employees and immediate family members of the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong, LEGO® Certified Professionals, and LEGO® House experts are not eligible to participate to ensure fairness.
  • These competition rules are subject to change without notice; the latest version will prevail.
  • In case of any disputes, the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong reserves the final decision.

B. Results Announcement and Prizes

  • Winners for the first and second phases will be selected according to the judging criteria mentioned above.
  • The winners' list will be announced on the official website and social media platforms on the specified dates.
  • One of the prizes for the third phase is 'two round-trip economy tickets from Hong Kong to Denmark,' with one ticket required for the participant's use.
  • The LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong has the right to request identity verification documents from winners. If the provided information is unclear, incomplete, or if the winner cannot be contacted or identified, the organiser may revoke the winner's eligibility. Winners must collect their prizes in person from the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong; prizes are non-transferable.
  • Under no circumstances may prizes be exchanged, returned, or redeemed for cash or other prizes.
  • In case of any disputes, the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Hong Kong reserves the final decision.
